The exclusive club was founded in 2020 during the midst of a pandemic by a group of golfing friends who share the common passion with bourbon, philanthropy, and camaraderie. The confidants hosted regular by invitation only gatherings that steered the development of the registered 501(c)(3) Nonprofit. The Brownsburg Bourbon Society is a dues-supported organization with the mission to provide charitable donations to the local community through its members and treasury.

Our mission at the Brownsburg Bourbon Society is to unite bourbon enthusiasts in our community, fostering camaraderie and appreciation for this beloved spirit. Through our shared passion for bourbon, we aim to raise funds and awareness for philanthropic endeavors, making a positive impact in our local community while savoring the finer things in life.
Birdies Fore Program – Annually the Society will raise monies via golf birdies that will be donated to a local charity. Most Society Members are participants in West Chase Men’s Club.
The Rusty Nail Golf Outing – Has a rich history dating back to 1835 when Joseph H. Hollaway received a land grant in Hendricks County, Indiana. Russell L. Hollaway continued the family tradition by organizing the annual golf outing in 1988. The event found its permanent home at West Chase Golf Club, which opened in 1996. Despite challenges from polio, Russ Hollaway played a key role in the golf course's development and the establishment of the West Chase Golf Men's Club. After Russ's passing in 2012, his wife Sharon and sons Michael and Douglas have carried on the tradition, benefiting the American Cancer Society. The Rusty Nail Golf Outing is a testament to Russ's resilience and an important part of Indiana's heritage.
